Legacy

Gratitude Of The Day: Being adopted into my husbands family, and having the chance to watch each of them form their own legacy, despite the hardships of their pasts. You are all amazing, and thank you for letting me be a part of your lives.

Legacy

To become a legend,
One must be stronger than the common man;
This you were.
One must be passionate about their cause,
And uphold their passion to the bitter end;
This you accomplished.
One must be a leader to those in need,
A champion in all that they strive for;
This you excelled in.
One must never compromise ones self,
And one must give it all they have to overcome,
And perhaps a bit more;
This you did.
Even in losing a battle,
A legend must inspire their followers
To continue the fight
Long after the hero has come and gone;
They are still fighting today.
Most of all,
A legend leaves a legacy,
That no one can ever forget;
And an example for the generations
To look up to for futures to come.
In this, a hero is born,
And in this, a hero never dies.
In this criteria,
A true champion can never die
For the legacy they leave
Cannot be forgotten.
In this they conquer
In this they will always inspire
And always live on.
So take your place among champions
For in this family,
And in the lives you touched each day,
Your legacy will never be forgotten.
